DINNER ON BEVERLEY

Acrylic paintings on wood that I made in May of this year. The painting was inspired by my experiences living on Beverley St. I rented a room in what was once a historical synagogue. My living situation consisted of cohabiting the space alongside much older men. The experience was grotesque, per se. My painting is inspired by my ugly experience. The innocent steaks are bloody and waiting out on the counter to rot. Slowly, what could have been a beautiful dinner, becomes foul waste.

Two raw steaks out on a cutting board. Red raw steaks against Green cutting board. Kitchen scene.
